The centuries old Berkley Castle with its tranquil walled garden and Butterfly House is waiting to be explored. There are many wonderful and exiting outings for families to participate in, including a ride on an authentic steam train through the rolling hills of the Avon valley, the City Museum and Art Gallery and the famous Bristol Blue Glass Factory. Visitors can take a tour of the factory and see how Bristol’s famed glass blowing is done and, if feeling creative, can have a go themselves. A shopping expedition to the city's newest shopping center, Cabot Circus, is worth a trip to the city on its own. As in most British cities, there is an amazing diversity of architecture due to the changes in architectural fashion over the many centuries. Each hotel represents a certain period of this history, from a fully restored 18th century house to ultra modern newly constructed hotels. Cadbury House in the south of the city is set within its own estate against a backdrop of woodland while other hotels are situated in the industrial heart of the city and close to financial, corporate and shopping centers. Magnificent views await guests at a city hotel; some overlook the majestic Suspension Bridge, others the historic Cathedral while yet others look out onto peaceful woodlands and picturesque countryside.

Luxury hotels have a diverse range of décor styles, some that echo their historical surroundings offering a perfect blend of past and present while others are individually designed with their own distinct character. In a luxury hotel, guests are sure to find king sized beds, flat screen digital television, tea and coffee making facilities, self-adjustable temperature settings, direct dial telephones and wireless internet access. Desks and sofas, for guest's convenience, complete the furnishings. En-suit bathrooms with power showers, luxurious baths, hairdryer, fluffy bathrobes and electric shaver point are sure to impress and satisfy every guest.

Many of the luxury hotels cater extensively for the corporate visitor and include a business center with meeting and conference rooms geared for board meetings, training seminars, product launches, trade shows and exhibitions. These rooms are equipped with all the high-tech facilities required by today's sophisticated corporate market which include high-speed broadband access, WiFi internet points, slide projector and screen, fax and photocopier, data points, flipchart and pens. Some business centres have their own private dining room with adjoining bar and lounge terrace providing an ideal venue for delegates to mingle and get to know each other in an informal way. Secretarial and leisure services are also provided which add to a perfectly organized corporate function.

One of the highlights for guests is to indulge in one of the wonderful hotel Spa and Health clubs. Here guests can relax and unwind while being pampered with a facial, massage or skin care treatments delivered by one of the many qualified therapists. Fitness facilities include heated indoor swimming pools, a state of the art gymnasium, saunas and steam rooms and a solarium. For the serious fitness fanatic, exercise and aerobic rooms provide the means to get ones heart racing. Other leisure activities provided by a hotel include mountain bike hire, golf, and pool tables.

Dining opportunities abound in the many hotel restaurants to be found, from a full breakfast buffet or a la carte menu served in an informal and friendly manner to fabulous cuisine served in beautifully decorated rooms. Comfortable lounges and bars also provide informal dining opportunities and are an ideal spot to enjoy pre-dinner drinks or an after dinner cocktail with friends. An all weather heated balcony for al fresco dining all year round ensures a relaxed atmosphere while stunning views over the Bristol Channel and into Wales enhance the dining experience. Chefs pride themselves on using seasonal ingredients sourced from local suppliers to ensure that menus reflect the best of the West Country.

Many bars and nightclubs attracting top DJs and acts await night time revelers. The area around the harborside has a dynamic and festive atmosphere as it is crowded with students, holiday makers and the many guests from each hotel.

Each hotel offers its own sense of style, comfort and luxury. A Bristol hotel is a perfect launching pad to explore the picturesque west and south country of England, to shop and visit the numerous malls and attractions, attend corporate functions or to relax and enjoy the wonderful Spas and Health clubs that make the whole experience a special break away from normal routine.
